EVENT: Empowering women in Wolverhampton
A Women’s Health Event, with advice on topics ranging from anxiety to menopause, is being held for Wolverhampton communities on Saturday 5 July.
The event, which will take place from 10am until 12noon at Penn Manor Medical Practice, Wolverhampton, WV4 4PY, will bring together leading professionals from a variety of organisations to support and educate women on key health issues.
Dr Shivaleela Bailwad, from The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust’s Primary Care Network, will lead the session featuring expert speakers specialising in menopause, mental health, sexual health, cancer screening and more. The initiative aims to provide practical advice, emotional support, and valuable resources to help women navigate the complexities of their health and wellbeing.
Dr Bailwad emphasised the importance of open conversations around women’s health.
She said: “So many women suffer in silence with issues that impact their quality of life. This event is about breaking those barriers, offering expert insights, and ensuring every woman knows that support is available.”
Attendees will have the opportunity to engage with medical and healthcare specialists, ask questions, and learn about available support services in the area. Whether seeking guidance on hormonal health, coping strategies for stress and anxiety, or assistance for domestic abuse victims, the event promises to be an invaluable resource for women across the community.
The Women’s Health Event is free and aimed at women aged between 18 and 70. No booking is required.
